So you have a question?

Solar Power Pak

Picture
  1. Charging the unit.       Place the solar panel in an area that faces the sun. (Yes the solar panel does work in indirect lighting but for the panel to charge the unit efficiently it needs to be in the sun.) Solar power is hard to measure but in order to fully charge the unit, a good rule to follow is every 8 hours the panel faces direct sunlight, will be a nearly full charge. (charging the unit with the panel in filtered or indirect sunlight will lengthen the time needed to charge the unit greatly.
  2. Is the Solar Panel UV protected?     Yes the plastic framing of the solar panel is treated with UV blocker. It is safe to reach temperatures over 100°F. Please be cautious on extremely hot days, the external temp may be around 100° but the actual temperature of the plastic may be higher as it holds heat.
  3. My Green light turned red?     The Battery unit needs to be charged
  4. My unit turns off with 2 light plugged in?      The battery does not have enough of a charge left to operate both lights. Unit needs to be charged. If that is not an option try unplugging 1 light this might give you a little more time
  5. Where I plug in the solar panel to the battery unit, the led light flashes red?    Unplug all lights and USB plugs. Plug only one item in at a time. this way you can find the light or USB device that is creating the problem. Once the item in question is found eliminate it from the system.

Did you know?

It always pays to have an old style phone!!
IF you have an
OLDER STYLE PHONE that plugs only into the phone outlet (not a house AC outlet too) The odds are you will have phone service long  before you have power. Just keep checking the phone!
Phone/Cable companies are also regulated by the government and are normally up and running asap. If the phone/cable lines are not laying on the ground or underwater some where, give the phone/cable companies a little time to  start-up their generators and your phone service will be back .
Your Cable TV service will be back too if you had power for the TV
